Sports drinks arw well know for boosting performance, but a recent study from the US on cyclists reveals that bananas could be just as effective, and may even have additional benefits.


It seems bananas contain certain antioxidants that are not found in sports drinks, as well as a wealth of nutrients, such as fibre, potassium and vitamin B6. They also contain a healthier blend of sugars than some sports drinks, as well as be easy for runners, cyclists or hikers to carry.


So go Bananas for bananas!
